Te Māhuri

This year has been an incredible journey for our kura – ā whānau of passionate language champions committed to carrying the Te Ataarangi kaupapa in Tāmaki Makaurau.

We began the year united in purpose and through the Te Ataarangi method, our māhita and tauira have explored creative, hands-on ways of teaching and learning — through rākau, kōrero, and collective growth.

Having nearly finished the year.  We’ve witnessed dedication, perseverance, and the emergence of confident new māhita ready to share their passion for te reo Māori within their own communities.

Watch this space for some excerpts and pitopito kōrero from the whānau who have found new confidence in their reo journey.

“Ko te reo Māori te mauri o te mana Māori – the language is the life force of our Māori identity.”
